General Information

NU is committed to achieving excellence in research, and to ensuring that its research contributes to the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and the region. NU research covers both fundamental and applied predominantly STEM disciplines, life sciences, social sciences, and education, reflecting Kazakhstan’s priority development areas.

Moving forward, NU will continue to build research capacity to tackle global challenges in partnership with government, industry, research centers and other stakeholders. Doctoral and postdoctoral programs are two rapidly developing elements of NU’s education and research landscape. NU is building a dynamic postdoctoral community in order to jumpstart the development of strong research culture.

Laboratories

NU laboratories are modern, fully-equipped spaces with state-of-the-art equipment which are used to provide training for our students. NU’s laboratory and teaching assistants, as well as laboratory technicians, ensure the safety of students and that the learning goals for each session are achieved.
